Don't treat our AI as a filter—treat it as your digital archaeology partner. For best restoration results, follow this deep workflow:
1. Activate the "Era-Aware" Engine
How it works: Our system detects historical era from clothing (e.g. WWII USAAF uniform), architecture, and film grain.
If auto-detection is wrong (e.g. 1890s misread as 1940s), correct it manually. Accurate era unlocks period-specific color mapping (e.g. 1980s Kodachrome look).
2. Style "Color Weight" Logic
Extreme restore (Authentic):
Best for: family portraits, historical documents.
Highest fidelity to the original. If the photo is B&W, we remove cracks and scratches without forcing colorization.
Cinematic Art:
Best for: narrative tension and dramatic lighting.
We inject 1980s color film look (35mm); B&W output is disabled.
DSLR High-Res:
Best for: turning blurry or faded shots into modern DSLR-style clarity.
Uses modern DSLR (e.g. Canon EOS) simulation and full-color redraw. Even heavily faded B&W can be scientifically colorized from skin and texture.
3. Use "Text Anchors" for Key Details
If the photo has text on flags, signs, or insignia (e.g. "STRIKE" or rank), enter it in Extra Notes.
We use high-fidelity text rendering so restored text is sharp and spelled correctly, not AI gibberish.
